Hezbollah on Monday claimed an attack on an Israeli position, its first since a fragile ceasefire in the war in Lebanon took effect last week.The ceasefire, which came into force on Wednesday, seeks to end a war that has killed thousands in Lebanon and sparked mass displacements in both Lebanon and Israel.While the ceasefire had largely brought fighting to a halt, Israel has launched strikes against targets it says were violating the truce.

In Libya, a shortage of cash in the banking system has pushed many to turn to cards for payments after more than a decade of war and instability has hammered the country's financial system.Across most Libyan cities, withdrawing money is akin to an obstacle course in which hundreds wait, often for hours, outside heavily guarded banks for a turn to take out cash. But the money all too often runs out early due to short supply.Mistrust in that system means money is rarely reinjected back into banks, with Libyans preferring instead to keep cash on hand.

Palestinians say Israeli air strike on West Bank kills two

The Palestinian health ministry on Tuesday said two men were killed in an Israeli air strike on what the military described as a "terrorist cell" near the occupied West Bank city of Tubas."An Israeli airstrike on a car near the town of Aqaba" near Tubas in the northern West Bank killed two Palestinians and wounded one, the health ministry said.All three Palestinians were transported to a hospital in Tubas, it added, but later said Israeli forces raided the same hospital, which the army denied in a statement to AFP.
