Dubai has launched a new free-to-use website for businesses and healthcare providers to buy and sell personal protective equipment (PPE) as the coronavirus pandemic continues to cause heightened demand for PPE products.The new online marketplace, launched by Dubai Chamber, a non-profit organization that supports and protects business interests in the emirate, will allow companies to buy and sell PPE for no additional cost.The portal is launching with 15 suppliers in the UAE offering products including face masks, face shields, safety goggles, hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, medical gowns and coveralls, ventilators and thermometers, a press release from Dubai Chamber read.For all the latest headlines follow our Google News channel online or via the app.“Businesses using the marketplace can benefit by reducing costs when buying PPE, generating new leads, building long-term partnerships with reliable suppliers. Saudi Arabia reported 2,852 new cases of the novel coronavirus in 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 235,111, the Ministry of Health said on Monday.For more coronavirus news, visit our dedicated page.The Kingdom recorded its lowest number of daily reported COVID-19 deaths with 20 fatalities in the past 24 hours.Saudi Arabia had been recording between 30-56 deaths per day for the past two weeks, according to data provided by the health ministry.Currently, the virus-related death toll in the country is 2,243.Meanwhile, the number of recoveries in Saudi Arabia rose to 169,842 after 2,704 people recovered from the coronavirus. The capital Riyadh detected the highest number of new cases with 258 infections in one day. Jeddah detected 235 new infections, while Al Hafouf detected 203 new infections.The other cases were reported in cities and provinces around the country.A drop in risk level The risk level of the novel coronavirus outbreak in Saudi Arabia dropped in the past nine days, according to a COVID-19 risk level map developed by a team of health experts.The map, which was developed by teams at Harvard’s Global Health Institute and Edmond J.
